Healthy Lipids GROUP

Welcome to Healthy Lipids group, the short and fancy name of our research group in Bioactive Extracts and Healthy Lipids at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Madrid, Spain).

Our research is focused on green extraction methods to obtain bioactive compounds from sustainable sources such as microalgae as well as enzymatic modification and microencapsulation of valuable products. Among different compounds our investigation is based on carotenoids, antioxidants and mainly omega-3 lipids with applications in food, biotec and pharma industries. On this basis, the research group collaborates in different projects with other universities, institutions and biotechnology companies.
